# MKIT — Mechanical Keyboard Italia

> MKIT is the Italian mechanical keyboard community meetup, held annually since 2019. It brings together enthusiasts, vendors, collectors and makers from across Italy and Europe. Organised by Marco, founder of Khor (khor.store), a European custom keyboard cable maker based in Bologna, Italy.

## About

MKIT (Mechanical Keyboard Italia) is an independent meetup series dedicated to the Italian mechanical keyboard community. It is a hands-on event where attendees can try dozens of keyboards side by side, meet vendors and makers, discover new builds, and connect with the community in person.

The event is community-run and kept deliberately informal — no stages, no schedules, just tables full of keyboards and enough time to have real conversations. Held in Italian, welcoming attendees from across Europe.

Over 145 attendees across four editions, with capacity growing each year. The recurring venue for 2025 and 2026 is The Social Hub Hotel in Bologna, steps from Bologna Centrale station.
